Indoor Soccer Rules

# of players on the field at a time: 5 (4 field players and a keeper)

Length of Games:

u5/6 SoccerTouch league - 30 min. of training & 30 min. game

u7/8 - 35 min. game

u9 through adult - 40 min. game

General Rules

1. No spitting on the field.

2. No profanity.

3. No slide tackling.

4. No boarding.

5. No descent.

Goalkeeper Rules:

1. Goalkeeper cannot pick up ball on a passback.

2. Goalkeeper must have 2 feet in box to handle ball.

3. Ball may be outside box, as long as goalkeeper has 2 feet in box.

Restarts:

1. All restarts are indirect.

2. Opposing team may not be closer than 10 feet from restart location.

3. Kick off starts at mid line. After goal is scored, ball starts at goalkeeper box.

Boundaries:

1. Netting is out of play.

a. Upon touch of net, ball is placed below that spot 1 yard from the wall.

b. If ball touches net behind goal off defending team, ball is placed on corner spot.

c. If ball touches ceiling, ball is placed directly below that spot.

Referees:

1. Referee will have complete discretion to call all fouls:

a. If foul is deemed flagrant;

i. Player is given first warning.

ii. Player is sent off for 2 min.

iii. Player is sent off for remainder of game.

2. Boarding and flagrant fouls will absolutely not be tolerated!

3. Referee will control clock.

Substitutions:

1. Substitutions occer 'on the fly'.

2. Surrender rule is in effect.
